International Board of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

IBHBOT exists to establish, maintain, and advance professional certification standards for individuals working in hyperbaric oxygen therapy and related operational environments. We are an independent certifying body — we do not provide training or instruction. Our role is to define what competency looks like, administer rigorous board examinations, and maintain a credible registry of certified professionals.

Our certification model is license-first and scope-aware. Every credential we issue is designed to supplement — not replace — the existing professional authority of the individuals who hold it. We recognize that hyperbaric and dive medicine intersects with a wide range of licensed disciplines, and our pathways are built to reflect that reality.
